About TMAC
Mission
The mission of the Trauma Managers Association of California (TMAC) is to:
- Provide leadership for trauma system development and maintenance of a continuum of care for critical trauma patients, founded on evidence based research, performance improvement processes, and the promotion of best practice principles, and
- Provide mentoring and education for hospital trauma program managers and local Emergency medical Service Agency (LEMSA) trauma system managers within the State of California.
Vision
TMAC envisions a seamless system of trauma care in California where there is rapid, coordinated access to standard trauma care for all persons, and care that is systematically evaluated and supported by financing that is equitable for all persons.
Values
TMAC values the critically injured trauma patient as the primary focus TMAC's mission, vision and values; trauma care as an integrated and integral part of essential health care services; and the establishment of "best practices" in the care of trauma patients based on the use of evidence based research and performance improvement practices.
